Kue cenil atau cethil adalah kue tradisional yang sangat marak dijual di pasar-pasar tradisional. Kue ini sangat unik karena pada jaman dahulu cara memakan kue ini dengan menggunakan potongan lidi yang runcing kemudian ditusuk kedalam kue dan digigit kedalam mulut. Bahan Kue Cenil/Cethil :

  • air 125 ml
  • tepung sagu 200 gram
  • Garam secukupnya
  • Pewarna makanan yang aman secukupnya saja sesuai selera dan biasanya merah dan hijau

Bahan untuk taburan:

  • parutan dari kelapa yang masih muda yang sudah dikukus sebentar 100 gram
  • gula pasir 50 gram

Cara membuat :
1. Campurkan tepung sagu dan air dengan diaduk hingga kalis.
2. Rebuslah adonan kedalam air sampai mengental kemudian angkat
3. Uleni adonan hingga lembut kemudian bagi dua bagian
4. masing-masing adonan diberi pewarna sesuai dengan selera anda, kemudian aduklah hingga merata
5. Pulunglah masing-masing adonan memanjang kemudian potong kecil-kecil.
6. Rebus adonan sampai semuanya matang dan mengambang
7. Untuk membuat taburannya dengan campurkan bahan taburannya yaitu parutan kelapa dan gula menjadi satu pada suatu wadah
8. Cenil yang sudah direbus guling-gulingkan dalam parutan kelapa diatas hingga parutan kelapa menempel rata.
9. Cenil siap di sajikan.
